Cats boarding at America Veterinary Hospital stay in one of our feline cages. Each cat is assigned their own spacious cage. Cages vary in size from small to large sizes. Our staff will determine what cage your cat will be assigned to for their stay depending on the room that is appropriate for their size and temperament. Each cage is separated by a solid wall to provide privacy for the cats. An open view cage door has been placed on each cage to provide each cat with a view of the room.
Because your cat will be sharing areas throughout the hospital, we require all of the cats to be in good health and up to date on our required vaccinations and exams. Cats boarding with us are required to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, Feline Bordetella, and a negative fecal examination. If your pet is not up to date on these vaccinations, we will be able to do the necessary vaccinations at the clinic to ensure they have a safe and healthy stay with us!
All pets are welcomed to board at American Veterinary Hospital unless otherwise noted by staff members. We accept special needs boarders, boarders who need medications.
*Please note that when boarding a cat, we can allow them in cat friendly designated rooms during down time for exercise. But for the safety of your pet we cannot allow them to walk around the clinic*
I must say being a groomer over a decade it can be difficult to find clinics You find comfortable to refer to. I haveseen behind the scene operations at this clinic and I must say it is one of the cleanest and smoothest ran. The staff is knowledge and I adore the dr. I know someone has mentioned how he recommended a test that hadn't been done before at other clinics and how grateful she was at how he took the time to check every possible avenue. I appreciate a dr who looks outside the box and I'm not just a number, he cares.Kayla Mae Ahles
I am very impressed with the staff at American Veterinary Clinic. They were very gentle and caring toward my scared 13 year old cat who hasn't been to a vet since she was a kitten. The doctor was informative and took the time to explain the diagnosis and carefully explained the use and directions for each medication. I am looking forward to seeing them all again at Star's 30 day check up.Ariel Mallas
